In this lesson, young people will begin to set goals for their future and learn how they can achieve their goals, by finding good things from their past as well as understanding expectations and hopefulness.
In this lesson, pupils learn techniques to reduce stress and develop supportive relationships via audio-track listening, class discussions and reflections.
In this lesson, young people learn skills in mindfulness and resilience. They also gain an understanding of mental health in a way that is de-stigmatising. This is achieved through audio-track listening, class discussions and reflections.
Before choosing other mental health topics, we think it’s important that pupils learn and practise some core mental health skills such as visualisation, relaxation, breathing and understanding emotions all of which builds resilience.
In part 1 of this lesson young people will consider what their best self looks like and explore different facets of social media including the relationship between social media use and mental health.
Building on themes from part 1, in part 2 young people will learn ways to manage stress, consider the positives and negatives of social media as well as learn how to protect themselves online.
